Croghan Home Damaged in Wednesday Morning Fire

    Croghan, NY- A Croghan home suffered severe damage after a fire broke out
    shortly before 8:00 a.m. this morning.

    The home, located at 9352 Erie Canal Road, belongs to David and Tracie
    Davoy, Jr., who reside there with their young son.

    Fire damage was confined to the second-floor bedrooms and the attic, with
    smoke and water damage throughout the home. While the cause is under
    investigation, officials believe a faulty chimney is likely to blame.

    No injuries were reported.

    Croghan Fire was assisted at the scene with mutual aid from Beaver Falls,
    Castorland, New Bremen and Lowville.

    The home was located across the road from the scene of a fire that destroyed
    a home on Sunday.
