school's 17th State championship in Class D at today's race through Sunken Meadows State Park in Kings Park, NY. Beaver River placed three runners in the top ten in the individual race, easily taking the team title with 32 points to repeat as State champions. Maple Grove was second with 87 points. Section 3 was the overall section winner, with section 6 in second. 2018 NYSPHSAA Boys Cross Country Championships Class D Results: (provided by leonetiming.com) Top Ten 1. Kal Lewis- Shelter Island (16:25.3) 2. Colton Kempney- Beaver River (16:37.1) 3. Cory Demo- Beaver River (17:06.1) 4. Hans Matzal- Faith Heritage (17:06.9) 5. Ronan McDonald- Randolph (17:11.4) 6. Josiah Evan- Beaver River (17:12.1) 7. Brandon Olden- North Warren (17:18.0) 8. Alden Begeal- Trumansburg (17:25.0) 9. Jack Rivet- Old Forge (17:28.0) 10. Adam Silhavy- Haldane (17:29.2) Conrad Freed of Beaver River finished 21st with a time of 17:53.3, with teammate Hunter Moore finishing 22nd at 17:55.3. Team Championship (Top 5): 1. Beaver River- 32 points 2. Maple Grove- 87 points 3. Delhi- 103 points 4. Oakfiled-Elba- 116 points 5. Shelter Island- 117 points In the Class D varsity girls cross country championship, South Lewis placed three of the top four runners in the individual race. Section 3 was represented by Tully in the Team Championship. Tull finished first with 45 points with Maple Grove coming in second with 50 points.
