Lowville, NY- The United Prevention Coalition of Lewis County (UP! Coalition)
announced the winner of their summer-long logo contest on Thursday.

Residents of Lewis County were invited to submit a new logo for the rebranding
of the coalition. A total of 24 entries were submitted and reviewed through a
sub-committee. The sub-committee selected 5 logos to bring before the entire
    coalition for a vote.

After some debate and a final vote, the UP! Coalition chose the design of
    Meagan Daymont of Lowville, NY.

"Miss Daymont’s design was simple, and straight forward, using the
abbreviated UP! that the coalition hopes will be recognizable throughout the
county in the future," Coalition Coordinator Cassie Forbus said.

“After reading the vision and the mission statement for the UP! Coalition, I
knew I wanted something that was easily identifiable, even from a distance
away, and gives a feel of nostalgia for the parents," Miss Daymont said. "The
logo even follows graphic design elements that are seen in today’s youth
marketing campaigns, clothing styles, and popular branding.”

Miss Daymont was awarded a $500 check for designing the winning logo.

"Her logo envisions exactly what we were looking for to build a legacy," Ms.
    Forbus noted.

"We also would like to thank all those who entered the logo contest, your
designs and accompanying stories were terrific, and truly made this a
competitive contest and a hard decision for the coalition," Ms. Forbus said.
