have advanced to sectional semifinals with quarterfinal wins this weekend, In girls soccer, No. 3 Lowville will face No. 2 Clinton on October 23, after defeating No. 11 South Jefferson 2-0 on Saturday. Eliana Bonbrest and Caroline St. Croix each scored a goal in the game. In boys soccer, half of the Class C semifinal teams are from Lewis County. No. 3 Beaver River defeated No. 5 Bishop Grimes by a 4-2 score on Friday night to advance to a semifinal match against No. 1 Cooperstown on October 23. Tanner Kovach scored two goals, with Dylan Williams and Dawson Gerdon each adding a goal as well. In another Class C quarterfinal on Friday, No. 2 South Lewis defeated No. 10 Thousand Islands 3-1, with Cody Greene, Matt Skorupa and Nate Wright each scoring a goal. South Lewis will face No. 3 Frankfort-Schuyler on October 23.
