Lowville Man Pleads Guilty to Felony Rape Charge

    Lowville, NY- A Lowville man appeared in Lewis County Court this morning
    with acting Judge Honorable Eugene R. Renzi presiding.

    Brandon M. Gerow, 26, pleaded GUILTY to third-degree Rape, a class "E"
    felony. Sentencing is scheduled for December 13, when he is expected to
    receive four months of weekends in the Lewis County Jail and 10 years of
    probation. He will also be required to register as a sex offender.

    According to New York State Penal Law, a person is guilty of rape in the third
    degree when an individual being twenty-one years old or more engages in
    sexual intercourse with another person less than seventeen years old.

    Mr. Gerow admitted to having sexual intercourse with a female under the age
    of seventeen on December 3, 2017, in the Town of Lowville.
