Tree and Gingerbread House Decorators Wanted
the Holiday Festival to be held Thursday November 15th through Saturday November 24th. We are again inviting businesses, organizations, and individuals to decorate trees, stockings and/or wreaths. The trees will be supplied by the Society along with several strings of lights. For those wishing to decorate a wreath we ask that you also supply the wreath. The trees, stockings and wreaths will be auctioned off during the Festival to raise money to benefit the Society. We invite participants in our gingerbread house display to stretch their imagination. School classes are especially encouraged to participate. We are also asking for raffle items from businesses and children’s toys which will be handed out during Santa’s Friday evening visit on November 23, 7:00 pm. Please contact the Society at 315-376-8957 or by emailing lewiscountyhistoricalsociety@gmail.com if you would like to participate in the Festival. We are looking for volunteers, especially to run the trains. Please call Carmen Sweet at 315-783-2205 During the Festival there will be a display of gingerbread houses, raffle items, and a program by the Adirondack Community Chorus, November 24, 7:30 pm. Look for our upcoming ad for scheduling. As always, our Gift Shop will be open for purchasing local history books for friends and family along with tickets for our upcoming 2019 Black River Valley Concert Series.
