| Beaver River School District Voters to Consider $12 Million in Capital Improvements on October 11 10/07/18 11:00am By: Nick Altmire |
to the polls on Thursday, October 11, to consider a pair of capital improvement projects for the district, totaling $11.97 million. Voting will be open from 12 PM until 9 PM, and will take place in the Distance Learning Room at the school. Voters will be asked to consider two propositions. Proposition 1 includes four core components: Cluster Classroom Reconstruction, Roofing Replacement and Fuel Oil Tank Removal, Bus Garage Construction, and a Strength and Conditioning Room. Proposition 1 costs total $11.42 million. Proposition 2 is a $550,000 project for lighting at the new turf field. The impact to taxpayers would be an additional $14 per $100,000 of assessed property value if both propositions are approved. There will be one final public information meeting on the topic on Wednesday, October 10, starting at 6 PM at the Beaver Falls Fire Hall.
