    Lowville, NY- On Monday, May 28th, starting at 11:00 AM, the veterans of our
    community and a full military honor guard will have a parade through the Village
    of Lowville.  

    Following the parade military honors to the deceased will be rendered at
    Veterans Park.  After a short speech the Public is invited to the Lowville
    American Legion.  Food will be available with donations encouraged. Meals will
    be delivered to homebound Veterans in our Community.  The Military Museum
    will be open to public.  The vast majority of the Museum is dedicated to Local
    Veterans, so you are encouraged to assist in placing names on the numerous
    faces that adorn the walls.

    ** IN THE EVENT OF RAIN** Activities are to be moved to inside the Firehouse.  
    The parade will happen rain or shine.  People are encouraged to watch from
    their vehicles.  Speeches and ceremony following parade will be in the firehouse,
    as well as the band.

    The American Legion is located at 5383 Dayan Street, Lowville.

    Memorial Day Schedule of Cemetery Military Honors

    Military Honors to be rendered at the grave sites of veterans.  The first will occur
    on Sunday, May 27th.  The joint American Legion, VFW and Marine Corp
    League Honor Guard with leave from the Lowville Legion at Noon and travel to
    cemeteries in the following communities at the approximate times:  
    Brantingham- 12:30 PM
    Sperryville- 1:30 PM
    Petries Corners- 1:45 PM
    Beaches Bridge- 2 PM
    Old Glendale- 2:20 PM
    Martinsburg- 2:30 PM
    West Martinsburg- 2:45 PM
    West Lowville- 3 PM
    Fairview, Vary Road- 3:20 PM
    Swinburne, Roberts Road- 3:30 PM
    Hillside, State Route 26- 3:45 PM

    On Monday, May 28th, the Color Guard will leave the post at 7:30 AM with the
    following stops scheduled at approximately:
    Wilcox Rd (near the sales barn)- 7:45 AM
    Reed Cemetery, Phinney Rd.- 8 AM
    Lee Lumber, East Rd.- 8:15 AM
    East State St.- 8:25 AM
    River St.- 8:35 AM
    Jackson St.- 8:45 AM
    Upper Stowe St.- 8:50 AM
    Lowville Rural- 9 AM

    Loved ones who have Veterans that have been laid to rest, are encouraged to
    attend this solemn ceremony. We provide full military honors to veterans set to
    rest at these cemeteries.
