Two Lewis County Pharmacies Participating
in National Drug Take Back Day on April 28th

    Lewis County, NY- Two Lewis County pharmacies will be participating in the
    National Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, April 28th.

    The day offers residents an opportunity to dispose of unused and unwanted
    prescription medications in a responsible manner, reducing the potential that
    they are lost, stolen or misused.

    People can bring their unwanted prescriptions to the Kinney Drugs location, at
    7395 Utica Boulevard in Lowville, between the hours of 10 AM and 2 PM. Take
    backs will also be accepted at The Falls Pharmacy, located at 6805 McAlpine
    Street in Lyons Falls, between the hours of 9 AM and 12 PM.

    Prescriptions in pill or capsule form will be accepted, but liquids and needles can
    not be accepted.

    The Lowville Police Department will be providing an officer to oversee the
    collection at Kinney Drugs, while the Lewis County Sheriff's Office will provide an
    officer to oversee the collection in Lyons Falls.
