Lowville, NY- American Legion Post 162, on Dayan Street in Lowville, hosted a
Grand Reopening ribbon-cutting ceremony on Saturday, following the completion
    of approximately $30,000 in renovations.

Post Commander Lee Hinkleman said the goal was to begin restoring the
building back to its original condition. Mr. Hinkleman thanked volunteers who
helped with the work over a nine day period during January.

Mr. Hinkleman said there is more work to do and the public can help by donating
to the post's Save Our Building campaign.

You can see our video below for the ribbon cutting and some words from Mr.
Hinkleman. We are also including a video on the history of American Legion Post
162, provided by the post and produced by WPBS-TV in Watertown.
