Criminal Court, with the Honorable Daniel R. King presiding: Matthew G. Furst, 34, of Watertown, entered GUILTY pleas to three counts of third-degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, class "B" felonies; one count of Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia, a class "A" misdemeanor; and one count of speeding 47 mph in a 30 mph zone. He was remanded without bail with sentencing set for May 4th. Mr. Furst was accused of possessing cocaine and hallucinogens with the intent to sell, along with scales and plastic bags used for packaging, during a traffic stop on State Route 3 in the Town of Diana on June 6, 2017. Daniel H. Green, 32, of Naugatuck, CT, entered a GUILTY plea to a charge of third-degree Criminal Sale of Marijuana, a class "E" felony. Sentencing in the case was adjourned to June 29th. Mr. Green was accused of selling marijuana at the moe.down Music Festival in the Town of Turin on June 30, 2017. Julie A. Greene, 33, of Lowville, was allowed to vacate a plea to second-degree Criminal Contempt, a class "A" misdemeanor, leaving her guilty plea to a charge of second-degree Harassment, a violation, after the successful completion of one year on Interim Conditions of Probation. She was then sentenced to a 1-Year Conditional Discharge and ordered to pay $120 in court fees. Judge King additionally issued a refrain from contact order of protection on behalf of the victim in the case. Ms. Greene was accused of violating a court order of protection on December 4, 2016 in the Town of Watson, where she caused unwanted physical contact and bruising to the protected party. Melanie C. Greene, 57, Remsen, was arraigned and entered a GUILTY plea to a charge of Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, a class "E" felony. She admitted to a previous DWI conviction in the Town of Trenton on January 15, 2008, making the current charge a felony. Sentencing was set for June 29th. Ms. Greene was accused of operating a motor vehicle with a BAC of 0.23 on October 1, 2017, in the Town of Watson. Joseph G. Hutchins, 30, Boonville, was arraigned and entered a GUILTY plea to a charge of Sex Offender Registry Violation, a class "E" felony. The case was adjourned to May 4th for sentencing. Mr. Hutchins was charged on January 4th in the Village of Lowville for not registering internet accounts and a smart phone. Nicole A. Lewis, 45, of Turin, was arraigned and entered GUILTY pleas to charges of Aggravated DWI- Leandra's Law, a class "E" felony, Driving While Intoxicated, an unclassified misdemeanor, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a class "A" misdemeanor. She was then placed into the Lewis County Drug Court program, with sentencing to come at the completion of drug court. Ms. Lewis was accused of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated on January 31st, on State Highway 12 in the Town of West Turin, with a twelve- year-old passenger in the vehicle. Jordan M. Miller, 24, Glenfield, was sentenced to serve one year in lewis County Jail on a charge of third-degree Unlawful Manufacture of Methamphetamine, a class "D" felony, to which he pleaded guilty to on October 27, 2017. He was additionally ordered to pay $375 in court fees and will receive a six-month suspension of his driver's license. Mr. Miller was accused of having meth-making materials during a vehicle stop on May 16, 2017 in the Town of Watson. Tina M. Stackiewicz, 47, of Constableville, was sentenced to serve a five year probation term on a charge of Operating a Motor Vehicle While Impaired by Drugs, a class "E" felony, to which she pleaded guilty to on December 08, 2017. She was additionally ordered to pay a $1,000 fine and $570 in court fees, participate in a Victim Impact Panel, and will have her driver's license revoked for one year. Ms. Stackiewicz was accused of operating a vehicle on the Fish Creek Road in the Town of Lewis on June 01, 2017, while under the influence of fentanyl and hydromorphone. Kendra Zehr, 21, of Lowville, was sentenced to one year of Interim Conditions of Probation on charges of fifth-degree Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance and fifth-degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, both class "D" felonies, to which she pleaded GUILTY to on April 1, 2017 and placed in judicial diversion for one year, similar to and handled by the Lewis County Drug Court. Ms. Zehr was accused of selling oxycodone in the Village of Lowville on June 6, 2016, and was one of sixteen people arrested in the 'Operation Northern Watch" drug sweep in September of that year. |
