County Planning Board Approves Two Expansion
Projects With Third Requiring Area Variance to Move Forward

    Lowville, NY- The Lewis County Planning Board approved a pair of expansion
    projects at their monthly meeting on Thursday, while a third will require an Area
    Variance before moving forward.

    Expansions at All Season Power Sports, on Utica Boulevard in Lowville, as well
    as River of Life Fellowship Church, on the Number Three Road in the Town of
    Denmark, were approved with conditions, as noted in the included approvals
    below.

    A third project, a special use permit application from John Mikulski requesting to
    expand an existing structure in order to operate a gunsmith shop located at
    10916 State Route 26 in the Town of Denmark, was not approved. The board
    noted an Area Variance would be required from the Town Zoning Board of
    Appeals before an approval can be made. The variance is needed because the
    project does not meet minimum NYS roadway setback requirements, as noted
    below.
