January 5 in Lewis County Criminal Court, with the Honorable Daniel R. King presiding: Tiffany E. Hawco, 24, of Massachusetts, was sentenced to a One Year Conditional Discharge on a charge of seventh-degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, a class "A" misdemeanor, to which she pleaded guilty to on July 14, 2017. She was additionally ordered to pay $100 in restitution and had $200 in cash seized as well as a 2004 Volkswagon Jetta, and was ordered to pay $50 in court fees and will receive a six-month suspension of her driver's license. Ms. Hawco was accused of possessing ketamine on July 3rd at the moe.down Music Festival in the Town of Turin. Carissa G. Jantzi, 36, Lowville, was arraigned and entered a GUILTY plea to a charge of second-degree Promoting Prison Contraband, a class "A" misdemeanor. She was then sentenced to serve nine months in the Lewis County Jail and pay $150 in court fees. Ms. Jantzi was accused of introducing contraband while visiting an imate at the Lewis County Jail on April 25, 2017, in the Village of Lowville. Anthony A. Pickel, 35, Lowville, was sentenced to serve 2 1/2 years in State Prison followed by one year of post release parole supervision on charges of pleaded guilty on November 3 on charges of third-degree Unlawful Manufacture of Methamphetamine, a class "C" felony; fifth-degree Crminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, a class "D" felony; Unlawful Disposal of Methamphetamine Laboratory Material, a class "E" felony; Unlawful Disposal of Hazardous Materials, an unclassified misdemeanor; and fourth-degree Endangering Public Health, Safety or the Environment, a class "A" misdemeanor, to which he entered guilty pleas for on November 3, 2016. He was then mandated by Judge King to the State Prison System’s 90-day Willard Drug Rehabilitation Program, which allows inmates who successfully complete the program to serve the remainder of their prison sentence under parole supervision. He was additionally ordered to pay $375 in court fees and will receive a six month suspension of his driver's license. He is accused of burning meth lab materials and burying them near a creek in the Town of Martinsburg on April 5th. Joshua S, Snyder, 32, Watertown, was sentenced after successful completion of Interim Conditions of Probation to a probation term of three years, on a reduced charge of misdemeanor DWI. He was ordered to pay a $1,000 fine and $395 in court fees. Additionally he will have his driver's license reviked for one year, must perform 50 hours of community service, participate in a Victim Impact Panel and will be required to use a ignition interlock device. Mr. Snyder was accused of Driving While Intoxicated with a child in the vehicle on June 13, 2016 on State Route 12 in the Town of Turin. Mark D. Snyder, 59, Lowville, was arraigned and entered GUILTY pleas to seven charges: 2 counts of felony DWI; first-degree Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle, a class "E" felony; Operating a Vehicle Without an Interlock Device; Stopping or Standing on a Highway; Possessing Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle; and Unregistered Motor Vehicle. Sentencing in the case was adjourned to February 9th. Mr. Snyder was arrested on Blue Street in Glenfield on July 17, 2017. |
