place this morning in Lewis County Criminal Court, withe the Honorable Daniel R. King presiding: Casey J. Burke, 32, West Leyden, was sentenced to serve a five-year probation term on a charge of felony Driving While intoxicated. He was ordered to pay a $1,000 fine and $570 in court fees and will additionally have his driver's license revoked for a one year. Mr. Burke will be required to install an ignition interlock device and must attend a Victim Impact Panel. Mr. Burke was accused of driving while intoxicated and without a license on October 14, 2016 on State Route 26 in the Town of Lewis. Dennis Hill, 31, Johnstown, was arraigned on a grand jury indictment containing charges of two counts each of fifth-degree Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance and fifth-degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, class "D" felonies. Not Guilty pleas were entered and bail was set at $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond, with Mr. Hill currently incarcerated in Saratoga County. The case was adjourned to February 9th. He is accused of possessing and selling LSD at the moe.down music festival on July 12th. Co-defendants Billy J. Mono, 38, Texas Road, and Jacob G. Thomas, 26, Watertown, were both arraigned on grand jury indicted charges of second- degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, a class "A" felony and third-degree Unlawful Manufacture of Methamphetamine, a class "D" felony. Both entered Not Guilty pleas, with January 19th adjournment dates. Bail for Mr. Mono set at $50,000 cash or $100,000 bond and Mr. Thomas' bail set at $15,000 cash or $30,000 bond. The pair is accused of possessing and manufacturing methamphetamine on the Texas Road in the Town of Croghan on November 21st. Ryan M. O'Connell, 33, was sentenced to serve 1 to 3 years in State Prison on a charge of felony DWI. He was then mandated by Judge King to the State Prison System’s 90-day Willard Drug Rehabilitation Program, which allows inmates who successfully complete the program to serve the remainder of their prison sentence under parole supervision. Additionally, he was ordered to pay a $1,000 fine and $570 in court fees; participate in a Victim Impact Panel; install an ignition interlock device and will receive a one-year revocation of his driver's license. Mr. O'Connell was accused of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol in the Town of Greig on Brantingham Road on February 18th. He was previously convicted of DWI on July 09, 2009 in the Town of Martinsburg, resulting in the felony charge for the current incident. Luis J. Raspaldo, 20, of Port Leyden, was arraigned on an indictment charging him with second-degree Rape, a class "D" felony and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a class "A" misdemeanor. He entered a plea of Not Guilty with the case adjourned until January 19th. Mr. Raspaldo is accused of having sexual intercourse with an individual under the age of fifteen on June 24 in the Town of Martinsburg. |
