economic and community development funding has been awarded through Round VII of the Regional Economic Development Council initiative. The State is split into 10 Economic Development Regions, with Lewis County falling in the North Country region- which also includes Jefferson, Herkimer, St. Lawrence, Essex, Franklin, Hamilton and Clinton counties. Of the $755 million in awards announced today, the North Country Region received $64.9 million. In Lewis County, eight projects received awards totaling $2,213,500. Details are included below.
