American Red Cross Aids Four After Port Leyden Fire
Chapter of the American Red Cross provided immediate emergency aid to four people after a multifamily fire on Monday evening on State Route 12 in Port Leyden (Lewis County). The Red Cross provided financial assistance for necessities such as food and clothing to two adults and two children, ages 6 and 7 months. Volunteers also offered emotional support, comfort kits containing personal care items and stuffed animals for the children. In the coming days, Red Cross staff and volunteers will remain available to help those affected by the fire as they navigate the road to recovery. HOW TO HELP
