    Lowville, NY- We sat down yesterday with Lewis County Manager and
    Budget Officer Ryan Piche to discuss the 2018 Tentative County Budget
    before an upcoming public hearing on the proposed spending plan.

    We discuss a number of factors that played a key role in this year's budgeting
    process, lack of funding for requested positions to battle the drug epidemic and
    a variety of other issues relating to the budget.

    PLEASE NOTE: After this interview was filmed on Monday afternoon, the
    board cancelled the public hearing that was originally scheduled for
    November 16th. The public hearing is set to be rescheduled for November
    21st at 5 PM in the second-floor legislative chamber at the court house in
    Lowville. If you would like to voice any budget concerns plan on attending the
    public hearing, November 21st at 5 PM.
