    Lowville, NY- The Lewis County Board of Legislators held a special meeting
    and public budget hearing this evening, where the 2018 budget was adopted.
    Legislators Bryan Moser, Craig Brennan and Roscoe Fawcett were excused
    from the meeting.

    At the meeting the board:
    *Adopted the 2018 budget by a 6-1 vote with Legislator Greg Kulzer opposing.
    *Amended and replaced the County of Lewis Junk Yard Law
    *Re-appointed David Becker to another four-year term as Highway
    Superintendent. Mr. Becker's current term expires December 31st.
    *Appointed Kelly Hecker as Director of Office for the Aging effective 11/27/17
