Croghan Woman Sentenced on Jury Convicted Drug Charges

    Lowville, NY- A Croghan woman was sentenced in Lewis County Court this
    morning, with the Honorable Daniel R. King presiding, on charges a jury found
    her guilty of on September 14th.

    Jessica Gazzillo, 34, Croghan was sentenced to serve a two year term in State
    prison followed by a  two year term of post release parole on charges of third-
    degree Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance, a class "B" felony and third-
    degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, also a class "B" felony.
    She was then mandated by Judge King to the State Prison System’s 90-day
    Willard Drug Rehabilitation Program, which allows inmates who successfully
    complete the program to serve the remainder of their prison sentence under
    parole supervision. She was additionally ordered to pay $375 in court fees and
    will receive a six month suspension of her driver's license.

    Defense attorneys Gary Miles and Michael Young indicated that an appeal is
    being filed.

    Ms. Gazzillio was accused of selling oxymorphone in the Town of New Bremen
    to a criminal informant on June 8, 2016.

    In other sentencing activity this morning:

    Andrew Perry, 45, of Carthage, was sentenced to a six year State prison term
    followed by a five year term of post release parole on charges of second-
    degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, a class "A" felony; fifth-
    degree Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance, a class "D" felony and third-
    degree Unlawful Manufacture of Methamphetamine, a class "D" felony. He was
    additionally ordered to pay $1,125 in court fees and will have his driver's
    license suspended for a period of six months. Mr. Perry was accused of selling
    meth to a confidential informant on December 16, 2016 and possessing the
    agents to manufacture meth on March 3, 2017.
