Lewis County Court with the Honorable Daniel R. King presiding: Richard Cobb Jr., 26, Lowville, entered guilty pleas to two counts each of third-degree Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, class "B" felonies and four counts each of fifth- degree Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, class "D" felonies. Sentencing was scheduled for December 8th. Mr. Cobb was accused of selling morphine and methamphetamine on January 4 in the Town of Watson and January 25 in the Village of Lowville, as well as selling and possessing meth on February 1 and March 2. Charles C. Fye, 27, Rochester, was sentenced to serve three years of probation, on a charge of fourth-degree Criminal Sale of Marijuana, a class "A" misdemeanor, to which he pleaded guilty on July 14. He was additionally ordered to pay $250 in court fees and forfeited $1,732 in assets seized. Mr. Fye was accused of selling marijuana on July 2 at the moe.down music festival in Turin. Jordan M. Miller, 24, Glenfield, was arraigned and pleaded guilty on a charge of third-degree Unlawful Manufacture of Methamphetamine, with sentencing set for January 19. Mr. Miller was accused of having meth-making materials during a vehicle stop on May 16 in the Town of Watson. Cindy S. Tack, 48, Port Leyden, was arraigned and entered a GUILTY plea on a charge of fifth-degree Welfare Fraud, a class "A" misdemeanor. Judge King then sentenced her to a one-year Conditional Discharge and no public assistance benefits for a year. Restitution in the amount of $2,439 was already paid and she was additionally ordered to pay $50 in court fees. Ms. Tack was accused of failing to report income on a SNAP application in August of 2016. Bram L. Widrick, 19, Lowville, was sentenced to 2 ½ years in State prison followed by one year of post-release parole supervision after unsuccessful completion of Interim Conditions of Probation on a charge of third-degree Unlawful Manufacture of Methamphetamine, a class "D" felony, to which he entered a GUILTY plea on July 7th. He was ordered to pay $375 in court fees and received a six-month driver’s license suspension. Mr. Widrick was accused of having meth-making materials during a traffic stop on May 16 in the Town of Watson. |
