    Beaver River varsity football, in a road game, routed Morrisville-Eaton this
    afternoon by a 47-0 score to improve to 2-0 on the season.

    Quarterback Matthew Middleton completed 17 of 31 passes for 331 yards and
    4 touchdowns. Brock Pominville had 6 receptions totaling 129 yards, with
    touchdown receptions of 60 yards and 20 yards. Colin Noftsier added a 67
    yard touchdown reception and Cory Woodward caught a 21 yard touchdown
    pass. Noftsier additionally scored a touchdown on a 46 yard run, rushing the
    ball a total of 16 times for 101 yards. Nathaniel Erker had a 63 yard touchdown
    run, while Nicholas Erker added a 13 yard touchdown run.

    In other Lewis County high school football action today, Lowville varsity football
    traveled to Little Falls where they were defeated by a 14-8 score. Lowville falls
    to 0-2 on the season. Lowville's lone score came in the fourth quarter on an 80
    yard fumble return by Chad Bach.
