Turin Woman Sentenced on Drug Sale, DWAI-Drugs Charges

    Lowville, NY- The following sentencing activity too place this morning in Lewis
    County Court, with the Honorable Daniel R. King presiding.

    Melinda Disotell, 43, of Turin, was sentenced to time served in the Lewis
    County Jail and a five-year probation term on an amended charge of fifth-
    degree Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance, a class "D" felony, to which
    she entered a guilty plea on March 24. She was ordered to pay $50 in court
    fees, paid a $60 restitution and had her driver's license suspended for six
    months. Ms. Disotell was accused of selling morphine on June 20, 2016 in the
    Town of West Turin.

    Additionally, Ms. Disotell entered a GUILTY plea to a charge of Driving While
    Ability Impaired by Drugs, an unclassified misdemeanor, stemming from a traffic
    stop on Elm St. in the Village of Port Leyden on May 20, 2016. She was then
    sentenced with a one-year Conditional Discharge, ordered to pay $500 in fines
    and $400 in court fees, ordered to participate in a Victim Impact Panel and had
    her driver's license revoked for six months on the charge.

    Aaron J Croniser, 22, of Ava, was sentenced to serve one-year in Lewis
    County Jail on a charge of third-degree Burglary, a class "D" felony, to which
    he pleaded guilty to on March 3. He was additionally ordered to pay $1,173.61
    in restitution and $375 in court fees. The charge stems from an incident at the
    Walmart store in the Town of Lowville, occurring on June 22, 2016.

    Sean L. Good, 27, of Watson, was sentenced to a one-year Conditional
    Discharge and to perform 50-hours of community service on charges of fourth-
    degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon, a class "A" misdemeanor and
    Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident, a traffic violation, to which
    he entered guilty pleas on April 7th. He was ordered to pay a $150 fine and
    $250 in court fees. Mr. Good was accused of possessing a hand gun with
    eleven rounds of ammo on January 15th in the Town of Watson during an
    accident, when he allegedly left the scene leaving the gun in the vehicle. He
    did not have a pistol permit in the State of New York.
