Lake Bonaparte, NY- On July 12, 2017 at 1 PM, as part of Invasive Species
Awareness Week, the Lewis County Soil and Water Conservation District is
hosting an invasive species paddle tour and discussion on invasive species in
Lake Bonaparte. The group will meet at the public boat launch. All are welcome
to attend. Each participant must bring their own kayak or canoe, life jackets
and paddles. The event will include a discussion about the Eurasian Milfoil on
Lake Bonaparte and the status of control efforts.  Paddlers will view an
infestation of milfoil and learn techniques to clean their watercraft that will
prevent the further spread of invasive species.  For more information or to
RSVP, please call the Lewis County Soil & Water Conservation District at (315)
