    Lowville, NY- A former New Bremen resident appeared in Lewis County Court
    on Thursday afternoon, with the Honorable Daniel R. King presiding.

    Melissa M. Bilinski, 28, now residing in Auburn, entered GUILTY pleas to
    charges of fifth-degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance- With
    Intent to sell, a class "D" felony and first-degree Introducing Dangerous
    Contraband (Promoting Prison Contraband), also a class "D" felony. She was
    then placed into the county's Drug Court program, with final sentencing to take
    place upon completion. Her drug court case was then transferred to Cayuga
    County Drug Court.

    Ms. Bilinski was accused of possessing heroin on August 24th in the Town of
    New Bremen. On the same date, she was accused of entering the Lewis
    County Jail with heroin in her mouth.

    Additionally, the following activity took place Friday morning in Lewis County
    Court, with the Honorable Daniel R. King presiding:

    Adam J. Bauer, 43, Copenhagen, entered a GUILTY plea to an amended
    charge of third-degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, a class
    "B" felony. Sentencing in the case was set for July 7th. Mr. Bauer was accused
    of possessing 129 grams of methamphetamine oil on December 3rd in the
    Town of Greig.

    Jason A. Houghton, 29, Castorland, entered a GUILTY plea to a charge of
    second-degree Offering to File a False Instrument, a class "A" misdemeanor.
    Sentencing in the case was scheduled for August 18th. Mr. Houghton was
    accused of filing false information with the Lewis County Department of Social
    Services on a SNAP recertification in October of 2015.

    Jonathan E. McClusky, 33, Watertown, was sentenced to a one-year
    Conditional Discharge on charges of second-degree Criminal Trespass and
    fourth-degree Criminal Mischief, both class "A" misdemeanors, to which he
    entered guilty pleas on March 3rd. He was additionally ordered to pay $250 in
    court fees, and an order of protection was issued on behalf of the victim for a
    five year period. Mr. McClusky was accused of damaging a door and entering a
    residence in the Town of Denmark on January 08, 2017.
