    Town of Diana- Officials are continuing their search for a missing Lewis
    County man. Kenneth W. McCall, 24, originally from Lowville, was last seen
    around 4 AM on Tuesday morning, headed west on the Tidd Road.

    Lewis County Undersheriff Jim Monnat said officials have been performing a
    grid search on the north side of the Tidd Road today, with the assistance of a
    New York State Police helicopter. The helicopter includes two NYS Forest
    Rangers providing eyes to the ground. Undersheriff Monnat said his agency
    has been assisted by NYS Police, NYS DEC, Lewis County Emergency
    Management, and volunteers. He estimated about 20 - 25 emergency
    personnel have been involved in the search, as well as search dogs.

    The search is concentrated in the last known area where Mr. McCall was, with
    his 25-year-old female companion. The female reportedly awoke to find Mr.
    McCall missing, and has been unable to provide any additional meaningful
    details. The Undersheriff said that footprints were found leading into a wooded
    area on the north side of the Tidd Road, where the search is currently being
    conducted.

    Undersheriff Monnat said the department has followed up on a number of
    leads, some that have helped, stating that their original theory has been
    disproven, declining to elaborate.

    Undersheriff Monnat said that Mr. McCall's vehicle was located on the first day
    of the search on the Kimballs Mill Road, in the Town of Diana. The search will
    move to a different area of the Tidd Road tomorrow, where a command center
    has been established, if nothing turns up tonight. While still following up on any
    leads throughout the night, search efforts have been suspended each evening
    around 7 PM.
