Court, with the Honorable Daniel R. King presiding, on an indictment handed down by a Lewis County Grand Jury on May 26th. Shawn R. Pignone, 32, entered NOT GUILTY pleas to a charge of Predatory Sexual Assault Against a Child, a class "A" felony and thirteen counts of Possessing Sexual Performance by a Child, class "E" felonies. Mr. Pignone, arrested in January on the charges, has been in Lewis County Jail with bail set at $15,000 cash or $30,000 bond. Judge King raised the bail amount this morning as a result of the indictment to $25,000 cash or $50,000 bond. The case was adjourned until July 14th. Also in Lewis County Court this morning: Patrick R. Delles, 29, of Glenfield, was sentenced on charges of fourth- degree Criminal Possession of Marijuana and fourth-degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon, both class "A" misdemeanors, to which he pleaded guilty to on January 20th. He received a one-year term in Lewis County Jail on the first charge and a consecutive sentence of an additional three months in Lewis County Jail on the second count. Mr. Delles was ordered to pay $250 in court fees and had his drivers license suspended for six months. He was arrested on the charges in October, 2016. Timothy L. Mooney, 33,Lowville, was arraigned on new charges of second- degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, a class "A" felony; third- degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, a class "B" felony; and third-degree Unlawful Manufacture Methamphetamine, a class "C" felony, all handed down by a Grand Jury indictment. He entered NOT GUILTY pleas, with the case adjourned until July 7th. Anthony A. Pickel, 35, Lowville, was arraigned on charges of third-degree Unlawful Manufacture of Methamphetamine, a class "C" felony; fifth-degree Crminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, a class "D" felony; Unlawful Disposal of Methamphetamine Laboratory Material, a class "E" felony; Unlawful Disposal of Hazardous Materials, an unclassified misdemeanor; and fourth- degree Endangering Public Health, Safety or the Environment, a class "A" misdemeanor. He entered NOT GUILTY pleas to all charges. The case is scheduled for trial on December 11th. He is accused of burning meth lab materials and burying them near a creek in the Town of Martinsburg on April 5th. Richard Cobb Jr., 26, Lowville, was arraigned on a 12 count sealed indictment. He entered NOT GUILTY pleas to four counts each of fifth-degree Criminal Possession and Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance, class "D" felonies and two counts each of third-degree Criminal Possession and Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance, class "B" felonies. The case was adjourned until July 7th. Mr. Cobb is accused of possessing and selling meth and morphine on various dates between January and March in the Towns of Watson and Lowville, as well as the Village of Lowville. |
