    Lewis County, NY- The New York State Department of Labor released
    unemployment data for May this afternoon. Lewis County came in at a rate of
    6.0%, down from April's 7.1% rate and unchanged from the May 2016 rate of
    6.0%. The NYS rate (seasonally adjusted) for May was 4.4%. Lewis County
    again had the second highest rate in the state, tied with St. Lawrence and
    Allegany counties for May. Statewide data is included below.
