upcoming sectional tournaments for high school varsity baseball and softball today. The tournaments are set to get underway on Monday, weather permitting. In softball, Lowville Academy and Adirondack received the No. 4 and No. 3 seeds respectively in the Class "B" tournament. Both teams will have opening round byes, with Lowville facing the winner of the No.13 Chittenango/No.20 Jordan Elbridge opening round matchup taking place on Monday and Adirondack facing the winner of the No. 14 Canastota/No. 19 Sherburne- Earlville opening round matchup taking place on Monday. Both second-round games are scheduled for Tuesday. In Class "C" softball, No.14 Beaver River will play an opening round game at home versus No. 19 Onondaga on Monday. The winner will move on to face No. 3 Cato-Meridian on Tuesday. No. 13 South Lewis is set to take on No. 4 Frankfort-Schuyler on Tuesday in a second-round game. In baseball, No. 14 Lowville will play an opening round game in Class "B" on Monday against No. 19 Chittenango. The winner will advance to play No. 3 Westhill on Tuesday. Also in Class "B", No. 7 Adirondack will have an opening round bye and on Tuesday will play the winner of the No. 10 Pulaski/No.23 APW opening round matchup scheduled for Monday. In Class "C" baseball, Beaver River and South Lewis both have opening round byes. No. 5 Beaver River will face No. 12 Dolgeville in a second-round game on Tuesday, while No. 8 South Lewis will face No. 9 Cato-Meridian on Tuesday. In Class "D", No. 14 Copenhagen will take on No. 4 Fabius Pompey in a second-round game on Tuesday.
