    Lewis County, NY- Second-round games in the Section III Tournament for
    varsity baseball and softball got underway yesterday, with all four Lewis
    County Section III teams getting knocked out of the baseball tournament.

    In Class "B", No. 3 Westhill defeated No. 14 Lowville by a score of 7-0. No. 7
    Adirondack will face No. 10 Pulaski this afternoon in a second-round matchup.
    In Class "C", No. 9 Cato-Meridian beat No. 8 South Lewis 1-0, and No. 12
    Dolgeville pulled an upset over No. 5 Beaver River with a 5-3 final score. No. 4
    Fabius-Pompey defeated No. 13 Copenhagen by a score of 6-1 in Class "D".

    In softball, on second-round game last evening saw No. 4 Frankfort-Schuyler
    defeat No. 13 South Lewis 3-2 in a Class "C" battle. In Class "B", No. 4 Lowville
    will face No. 13 Chittenango this afternoon and No. 3 Adirondack will matchup
    against No. 14 Canastota. This afternoon in Class "C", No. 3 Cato-Meridian will
    take on No. 14 Beaver River.
