    The 2017 edition of the Lewis County Fair Parade is set for Tuesday, July 18,
    at 7:00 p.m. We would be honored to have your group participate.

    The parade will start at the south end of the village of Lowville and proceed
    through downtown to the reviewing stand at the grandstand. The parade will
    start at 7:00 p.m. SHARP! Please be lined up by 6:15 p.m.

    The theme of the fair this year, as well the parade, is “Blue Jeans and Country
    Dreams”. In designing your float, banner, etc. you can use this theme as your
    guide. Let your imagination and creativity assist you in your design. If you wish
    to enter your float in the competition judging, you will need to register ($10
    entry fee) at the Secretary’s office by Monday July 17th. All floats entered this
    year will also automatically be judged for “Best Use of Flowers”. First place
    premium is $50.

    In the interest of safety we ask that if you plan to distribute items to the parade
    watchers, that you do not throw items at them. We prefer that you walk along
    side of the streets and hand items to the crowds.  

    Due to the many participants and the length of our parade, it is important that
    all units keep up with the parade. If you are handing things out, please have
    enough helpers to do the job.

    Please help us to present an exceptional parade to the residents of Lewis
    County. If you would like to take the time to tell us a little information about your
    organization or business it would help us a great deal. Any information as to the
    leaders of your group, nature of your business, parade participants, etc. will
    allow us to recognize your group as they pass in front of the grandstand.

    this information to us now. Three or four sentences is all that is needed.
