Port Leyden Woman Pleads Guilty to Heroin
Possession, DWI; Placed in County Drug Court Program

    Lowville, NY- A Port Leyden woman entered guilty pleas Friday morning in
    Lewis County Court, to charges of fifth-degree Criminal Possession of a
    Controlled Substance With Intent to Sell, a class "D" felony, and Driving While
    Intoxicated, an unclassified misdemeanor.

    Mariah L. Mashaw, 25, was then placed into the county's drug court program
    by Judge Daniel R. King, with sentencing scheduled to take place at the
    conclusion of the program.

    Ms. Mashaw was accused of possessing heroin in the Town of Leyden on
    December 20, 2016. She was also accused of Driving While Intoxicated on
    September 27, 2016, on the Moose River Road in the Town of Lyonsdale.
