| Lewis County Public Transportation Will Again Offer Daily Summer Bus Run to Old Forge 04/23/17 07:00am |

The program offers a great opportunity for students looking for summer employment in the Old Forge area, including the Enchanted Forest Water Safari park. The bus run, which costs one dollar each way, offers pickup stops in Croghan, Lowville, Glenfield, Lyons Falls, Port Leyden, Boonville, and Woodgate. One bus runs daily, with two buses running during the peak season beginning July 8 through August 16th. Although the program is geared towards providing students with transportation for summer employment, the ride is available for anyone to use. If planning a day trip to Old Forge with family or friends, the route can provide an economical alternative to driving. Last season the bus run served over 5,500 riders. Students planning to use the run on a daily basis this year are encouraged to call ahead to Lewis County Public Transportation to help ensure everyone will be accommodated.
