Lowville, NY- Village residents in both Lowville and Copenhagen will take to
the polls today, as both villages hold elections. Polls in both villages will be
open from noon until 9 PM.

In Lowville, the village's acting appointed judge Richard V. Defone, is running
unopposed to fill the remaining year of former village judge Patricia H. Yarina's
term, who resigned in January due to health.

Copenhagen Mayor Scott L. Alexander and Trustee Gerald S. Snyder are both
running unopposed for another two-year term. There were no nominating
positions received for a second trustee seat in Copenhagen, with write-in votes
likely to decide who wins that position.
