Carthage Man Charged With DWI After Allegedly Leaving Accident Scene

    Carthage, NY- Jefferson County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested James F.
    Gotham, 47, of Carthage, on Wednesday evening after allegedly leaving the
    scene of a property damage accident, that occurred on State Route 3A in the
    Town of Wilna.

    Mr. Gotham was charged with Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage
    Accident, Driving While Intoxicated, Drinking Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle, and
    Crossing Road Hazard Markings. He was processed at the Public Safety
    Building in Watertown, where he had a reported BAC of .15%, and issued
    tickets to appear in the Town of Wilna Court on April 13th.
